Latest on Priti Patel - expected to be sacked over undisclosed meetings

Latest on Priti Patel

If you cast your mind back to two days ago, I called for Priti Patel to be sacked over her undisclosed meetings and false pretences on travelling to Israel. The current situation which is being reported is Priti Patel is currently flying back to the UK on request from Theresa May and is expected to face disciplinary action and this is good news that has come out this morning.

She is currently under fire as it has emerged that she had a reported two future unauthorised meetings with senior Israeli politicians without notifying Downing Street and this is an absolute outrage. Even if dismissal will not happen under Theresa May, she must face disciplinary action for these unjust actions. May I remind everyone that Emily Thornberry in 2014 resigned from her position as Shadow Attorney General after sending a tweet that was perceived as snobbish and we cannot allow double standards in our politics. There shouldn't be one rule for the Conservative Party and another for the Labour Party.

According to the independent, it is being reported that Priti Patel has even gone so far to offer to use the government's foreign aid budget to help fund the Israeli army, which is an outrage in it's own right. Our Foreign aid should be used to aid people in need and given to countries in chaos and who need our help, not to fund acts of violence. First of all, we are not clear that she is in any position to offer that sort of commitment to a country that stands against us in many ways and second of all, these commitments where not discussed and confirmed by Theresa May or any other cabinet minister, especially in foreign affairs.

It seems like Ms. Patel's future is hanging in the balance as she is flying back into the country to discuss her future with her government and I would be glad to see the sacking.
